La Luna calante associata a Ecate - la saggia - rappresenta la vecchiaia, la saggezza, la magia, il mistero, la connessione con l'oltretomba.

The crescent Moon is associated with Artemis - the maiden - representing virginity, wildness, enchantment, seduction.

The full Moon associated with Selene - the mother - represents maturity, life in its fullness, fertility.

The waning Moon associated with Hecate - the wise one - represents old age, wisdom, magic, mystery, connection with the underworld.

This powerful symbol of the triple Moon or triple Goddess is widespread today among those who practise magic, Wicca, and was ubiquitous in the ancient world, used as a talisman to get in touch with the divine and the sacred feminine.
