Walnut Woods

Il noce è un albero maestoso, vigoroso e possente, simbolo di trasformazione e rinnovamento, in molte tradizioni veniva considerato connesso con il divino, come testimoniano alcuni papiri e dipinti Egizi. E' l'albero della magia per eccellenza, amato dai druidi e dalle streghe che erano solite riunirsi sotto le sue fronde durante i sabba. 

Il suo legno è uno dei più nobili, caratterizzato da venature, nodi  e contorsioni mai uguali a se stesse, che definiscono la sua particolare unicità. Maestoso e protettivo, il noce sfida ogni giorno la vita , difendendo la sua unicità, la sua essenza ribelle e creativa. Sia l'albero che il suo frutto sono conosciuti e utilizzati in alchimia fin dall'antichità; il fiore maschile spesso raffigura la ghiandola pineale, ritenuta la sede dell'Anima, un simbolo presente anche in molte immagini buddiste, cristiane e pagane.

The walnut is a majestic, vigorous and mighty tree, a symbol of transformation and renewal, in many traditions it was considered to be connected with the divine, as evidenced by some Egyptian papyri and paintings. It is the tree of magic par excellence, loved by Druids and witches who used to gather under its branches during Sabbaths. 

Its wood is one of the noblest, characterised by veins, knots and contortions that are never the same, defining its particular uniqueness. Majestic and protective, walnut challenges life every day, defending its uniqueness, its rebellious and creative essence. Both the tree and its fruit have been known and used in alchemy since ancient times; the male flower often depicts the pineal gland, believed to be the seat of the Soul, a symbol also found in many Buddhist, christian and pagan images.
